Inference Sheet

Reflection:
Walt identify possible inferences by using the clues in the text.
This work was easy because most of the clues could connect to what the book is try to tell us.
 Next time I need to work on making questions for myself or other people.

Angles

Reflection:
In class we have been learning to classify angles.  
We have learnt type, size and what what they look like.
I enjoyed learning about the type of degrees of all the type of angles.
I need to work on drawing the type of angles in different ways.

Visaulising The Evil Drinking Fountain T3

Reflection:

In this work we had to draw apart of the book that we found interesting.

What I found interesting right after the lady drank from the fountain she nearly really badly injured herself.

I enjoyed this work because we got to visualize what would happen next or what happened.

Next time I need to work on increasing the space in my drawing with details.

Pacific Preformance

Reflection : 

In our Pacific bundle we have 5 different groups, Hawaii, Samoa, Tonga, Niue and the Cook Islands.

Every Friday the whole group meets together but then splits apart to their group.

This year I was in the Niue group and it was awesome to learn about the different types of culture.

In Week 5 we preformed to the school and had to dress up.  

Why Maori Should Be Compulsory

Reflection
In this work I had to right a speech about something relevant to me. I had share to share it to the class to go in the speech finals.  I choose this topic because it's important to me.
I found this work easy and hard because the facts were not always on my side.
Next time I need to work on speaking louder cause I lacked on tone of voice.

Fraction Problem

Reflection
In this work we had to work of a blue maths book and choose a fraction problem to solve.
I found this work kind of easy because I knew my times tables and that's all I really needed.
Next time I need to work on making it easier to understand and working it out with more strategy's.

Samoan Language Week

Reflection
Walt research acts about Samoa .
For Samoan language week we learnt about Samoa.  We read about it and had to look for facts to add to our slideshow.
I found this work imbeetwen because we learnt heaps of new facts about Samoa like how it was taken over but went Independent in 19
Next time I need to work on learning more types of words or phrases in Samoan.

Punctuation Slideshow

Reflection
For writing this term we have been learning to use specific punctuation features correctly to improve meaning.
This was a hard task because their were so many types of tricks in the story we had to revise and edit.
Next time I need to work on doing another type of revise and edit story but I need to proof read it even more to notice all the mistakes.

Falling From The Sky

Reflection:
This piece of work was easy because I find it easier to write a long story than a short one.
I think I still need to practice on what we need to achieve.
Next time I need to work on keeping my work to a max.

Stereotypes

Reflection :
Walt examine stereotypes.
This was a fun task because this story was breaking all the rules.
Next time I need to work on using some more types of phrases.

Expanding Decimals Fractions

Reflection :
Walt expand decimal numbers
I enjoyed learning about this work because I didn't know that their were 2 ways to expand a decimal number.
I found this work kind of easy because it was easy to pick up.
Next time I need to work on learning more types of  ways to expand.

Using Comma's Correctly

Reflection:
Walt write sentences using commas.
This was a fun piece of work to do because we are really good at using commas.
I think I mastered to observe where the commas go.
Next time I need to work on trying some harder sentence's

Planning On Popplet

Reflection:
In this task we went onto Popplet and recreated our brainstorm by expanding our ideas into details and ordering from first to last.
The best thing about using Popplet  was that you could easily expand into making your ideas
I felt relaxed doing this work because it was a day to remember and i enjoyed it.

Reciprocal Reading - Clarifying and Questioning

Reflection :
In class we have been learning to clarify what we read.  We have also been learning to write ‘I wonder’ questions to help us understand what we read.  
I learnt a lot of new words and their meanings from just clarifying and Questioning.
I enjoyed Looking for the meanings of the words that we don't know and finding words to replace it to make sense for us.
Next I think I need to improve on my reflections in my book.

Swimming Sports 2016

Ty at inter-school swimming sports. > Watch my video!
This term I represented EPS at the inter-school swim sports carnival.  Matua Faenza and Matua Freddy took us in the school van.  It was a fun event because we showed lots of good sportsmanship.  We did that by hi-fiving the people next to us after we raced no matter what place we got.

Writing Poster

Reflection:
In room 22 we have been learning about the writers process (mostly planning and prewriting)and to show that we are masters of it we made a poster to teach someone how to write in that kind of way.
Next time need to work on mastering revise and edit because I am not a master

Polyfest

On the 16th of March Room 22 went to Polyfest. The first thing we did was get split up into groups to go in a car I was with my dad of course. When we got there my dad couldn't stay so I got split up into MF's group. Our first stop was at the sore throat stand and then we moved on to the Auckland War memorial museum. Later we had a walk around and I bought some delicious doughnuts and ate them at the nuie stage.
When we finished we had a little explore and got a lot of free stuff. That was only the first half so we decided to find out the other part of it. When we found the Maori stage we also found the spot of the food. WE bought heaps of food there and then we met up with all the other groups. Then it was time to leave I went with my dad back to school to drop of some other kids that came with us but I got to go home with my dad.
It was an awesome day and I  learnt a lot about culture.

Subitising Presentation

Reflection:
Walt : Create a subitising presentation to find different and fast ways to work out each slide.
We have been learning about subitising and trying to find lots of ways to work out the problem and as fast as we can.
I found this work fun because I got to find out different ways to work it out.
My next Goal is to work on using different numbers in each box.
I helped a year 5 student to create this slide.

Kia ora my name is Ty and I love to play games and sport. 

My favorite sport is rugby and I play for a club.

This year I am a school Councilor and also a peer mediator. 

My teacher is Matua Faenza and Matua Freddy ( the best ) and I am in Rm 22 

and I've been in Matua Faenza's class once already. 

I have already achieved part of my goal to be a school councilor 

but I also want to try out to be the head boy.
